Mobile Crane Departure Checks

Before moving a crane it is vital that the operator checks that the crane is stowed correctly. The operator must:​

• Walk around the crane
• Check dunnage and outrigger pads are stowed correctly
• Check outriggers are fully retracted
• Check toolboxes are secured and rigging stowed
• Check crane is configured for road travel
